Please read the below Terms and Conditions. This document tells you the terms and conditions in which we sell and supply goods to you. Payment of your booking fee confirms your agreement with our Terms and Conditions.

Booking
To secure your date with Connie Thompson Cake Design, we, require a non-refundable booking fee of £100 for wedding orders, and £30 for celebrations cakes. Your date is not secured until we have received the booking deposit.

All quotations are valid for 14 days from date of issue. We reserve the right to revise prices after this period.

Remaining Balance
For Wedding Orders, the balance must be paid in full no later than 4 weeks before the date of delivery.

For Celebration Cake orders and all other orders, the balance must be paid in full no later than 1 week before the date of delivery unless agreed otherwise.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be made in writing. If for any reason you have to cancel your booking, the booking fee is non-refundable.

For cancellations of wedding orders, with less than 4 weeks’ notice, the full payment (including the booking fee) is non-refundable. For cancellations of celebrations cakes and all other orders, with less than 1 weeks’ notice, the full payment (including booking fee) is non-refundable.

Wedding Insurance
We cannot express the importance of wedding insurance. These last few years have been so unpredictable. It is of course your decision if you wish to take an insurance policy out or not, but we would strongly suggest that you do.

Delivery/Set Up
We deliver and set up all wedding cake orders at an extra charge. This will vary upon location of the wedding venue and will be included in your initial quote. Celebration cake orders are collection only.

Once the order has been delivered and set up or collected you are responsible for it and we will not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage arising. If the cake is moved after set up Connie Thompson Cake Design will not take any responsibility for any loss or damage that occurs.

If you request that we leave your cakes somewhere or with someone, this is your responsibility. We will not be liable if they do not arrive with you safely after we have handed them over.

Postponements
If you wish to postpone your wedding booking date for any reason, you must request this by email, and we will check our availability, if the new date is available, the booking fee payment would then be transferred to the new date. If the new date is not available the original booking fee is non-refundable

We therefore strongly recommend you consider take out wedding insurance to cover such situations.

Final Design
We will finalise the cake design in your consultation. Discussing all aspects including your flowers and overall look at the venue. It is your responsibility to discuss the same key points with the florist and venue. Connie Thompson Cake Design will not be responsible should the flowers be incorrect to how we have discussed or that the venue is not aware of any specifics discussed.

Allergies
We cannot cater for allergens. Although they may not be directly in the recipe, we do use all relatable allergens in our kitchen. This may include, but is not limited too, nuts, eggs, dairy, wheat, soya, sulphates & colouring.

Some decorations are not edible (fresh flowers, sugar flowers, dried flowers, ribbons, pins, jewels, boards, etc). You are responsible for advising your guests of this and we will not accept any liability for any damage, illness or injury arising from any such exposure.

A dietary list of ingredients can be provided if requested. If a venue require a list of ingredients this is to be requested by you and not the venue.

Our products contain gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs and may contain traces of nuts.

Connie Thompson Cake Design do not hold any responsibility for any adverse weather conditions affecting access to any venue. Connie Thompson Cake Design will make every attempt to get to the venue only when it is deemed safe to do so.

Connie Thompson Cake Design cannot be held responsible for ‘Acts of God’ (Fire, flood, storms), Government Advice, Pandemics, labour disputes, failure of electricity supply and any other unforeseeable circumstance that prevent us from providing our services.

Connie Thompson Cake Design reserve the rights to review and update the Terms and Conditions.

Privacy Policy
Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we will only keep it for as long as is necessary and use it only to carry out the service we provide.
